Fine Arts

At SJND, students begin their artistic journey in 1st grade. Our program teaches the fundamentals of art including basic drawing and painting, sculpting, and art history. Students are encouraged to explore their creativity using different mediums including ceramics, collage, digital art, and mural painting. We travel the world studying impressionism, surrealism, pop art, cultural art, and of course, art that exemplifies our Catholic faith.We hold a whole school art show in the spring highlighting the outstanding works of art from each and every student. In addition we hold a special evening of art in the fall specifically for our 8th grade students and families to again celebrate their journey here at SJND. In the spirit of St. Julie we strive to build connections within our community and celebrate the beauty and diversity of each student’s artistic abilities.
