Kathy Baxter

Advanced Certificate in Catechetics from the University of Sacramento. She has spent 24 years of loving St. John Notre Dame students in the 4th grade.

Danielle Brandenburg

Associate of Arts degrees in Liberal Studies & English from Rancho Santiago College. Catechesis Certification from University of Notre Dame. Instructional Aide in multiple grades for 8 years and Director of Extension for 6 years at SJND.

Cesca Brown

Elementary Education and Special Education Credentials.  Graduated from the University of Nevada Reno.  This is her 24th year as an educator.  Ten years at SJND.

Tyler Crandall

Bachelor of Arts in Political Economy from CSU Monterey Bay, Single Subject Teaching Credential in Social Studies from CSU Sacramento, and a Master of Arts in Counseling, PPS from CSU Sonoma.  He has 8 years of experience in both Catholic and public schools.

Kathy Curtis

Bachelor of Science in Education with a minor in Socially & Emotionally disadvantaged from Edinboro University, Edinboro, PA. 42 years of teaching experience in public and Catholic education. 34 years now at SJND.

Cheryl Garcia

Bachelor of Design from the University of Florida, Gainesville, Florida. She has worked at SJND for 13 years as an instructional aide and teacher; 10 years teaching 2nd grade Reading, 2 years teaching Religion and 8 years teaching primary Math.

Diane George

Associate of Arts degree, Liberal Studies; Associate of Science degree and Administration of Justice degree, Sierra College. Bachelor of Science degree Criminal Justice, Youth Authority Studies, California State University Sacramento. 26 years teaching and tutoring 2nd-8th grade math; 7 years at SJND.

Pat George

Bachelor of Science - Organizational Behavior/Business Management and Master of Arts - Education from USF (dual program). PPS Credential /Emergency Teaching Credentialing and MFT License. Adjunct professor at CSU Sacramento. 20 years of providing educational support services to students.

LaNette Guevara

Associate Degree in Liberal Arts; Early Childhood Education (ECE) Assistant Teaching Certification; ECE Teacher Certification; ECE Master Teacher Certification; 11 Years of Teaching TK at St John Notre Dame School

Courtney Hamilton

Bachelor of Arts in Communication, Emphasis in Media, Law, and Politics from the University of Southern California.  Masters in Education Administration from the University of the Pacific working towards her Administrative Credential.  She has 12 years teaching experience at the elementary and high school level in public, private, and Catholic school.

Judy Hare

Judy Hare- attended University of South Carolina, history major. Teacher aide 7 years in 2nd grade and TK.

Felicia Heiler

Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from Santa Clara University.  She has been at SJND for 16 years.

Kendall Horton

Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science, minor in Rhetoric & Communication from UC Davis. Multiple Subject Clear Credential, CLAD Certificate, and State of CA Supplemental Authorization to teach Middle & High School English and Civics & Government from CSU, Sacramento. Catechesis Certification from Univ of Notre Dame.  Teaching since 2002 and at SJND since 2012.

Whitney Hunt

BA in Psychology from the UC Berkeley.  Master of Science in Psychology from CSU Sacramento.  Worked with children and families for many years.  This is her first year working as a Teacher Aide in the TK classroom, but 5th year as a part of the SJND community.

Debbie Hurtado

Bachelor of Arts - Liberal Studies, CSU Sacramento, Masters in Education - Curriculum Development & Instruction, University of San Diego, CA State Multiple Subject Clear Professional Credential, 26+ years teaching experience (kindergarten 😨 - college)
This is her 23rd year in Catholic middle school and 19th year at SJND.

Kate Jenkins

Associates of Science Degree in Physical Therapy from Harcum College, Bryn Mawr, PA. Worked as a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant for fifteen years.  Part of the SJND family as both a parent of two graduates, and as the third grade instructional aide for the past eight years.

Margie Keshishian

Bachelor of Science in Finance from CSU Long Beach.  Teacher's aide in Kindergarten for 10 years and assistant bookkeeper for 5 years at SJND.

Alix Kuzmich

Bachelor of Arts degree in Child Development and Multiple Subject Clear Credential from CSU Sacramento. She has taught at SJND for 3 years.

Katy Lynch

Bachelor of Arts degree in Art and a Multiple Subject California Teaching Credential with a special emphasis in Art from San Francisco State University. Katy has been at SJND since 1991.

Keith Martin

Bachelor of Arts degrees in Liberal Studies & Religious Studies and a Multiple Subject Teaching Credential from Notre Dame de Namur University and a Master of Educational Leadership degree from The University of Notre Dame. He has 18 years teaching experience in Catholic Schools.

Kelly McKelvey

Bachelor of Arts in Economics, Cum Laude with a minor in Business Management from the University of California, Irvine. This is her third year working at SJND, but her seventh year as part of the SJND family. She volunteered and helped children through non-profit work for 10 years.

Deirdre O'Connor

Bachelor of Arts degree in History, a Multiple Subject Teaching Credential, and a Master of Art in Teaching from the University of San Francisco. She has four years teaching experience in Catholic Schools.

Austin Otto

Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry from Sacramento State University and a Master of Arts in Teaching from the University of San Francisco.  He has 5 years of teaching in Catholic schools and holds a CA Single Subject Teaching Credential in Math and Science.

Krista Pecha

Bachelor of Arts in English from the Univ. of San Francisco. Masters in Theological Studies from the JohnPaul II Institute on Marriage and Family, Washington D.C.

Sharon Penrose

Bachelor of Arts in Communication from California State University, Chico.  Studied Fine Arts abroad in Florence, Italy. Worked in the Advertising Industry before becoming the Art Teacher at St. John Notre Dame in 2002.

Joe Portelli

Bachelor of Arts degree in Unified Elementary/Special Education from Keuka College and a Master's Degree in Special Education from Syracuse University.  Currently holds a Special Education Teaching Credential.  He has been teaching for fourteen years and is entering his fifth year in Catholic Schools.

Rachael Quinn

Credentials from WIT, Ireland in Business and Marketing, London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art in Public Speaking. Furthering education in Theology with emphasis on History of Religion. Cadet Chaplain with PCLEC, assistant school sacristan.  4th year teaching in Catholic school, 10 years teaching experience.

Bridget Quiroz

Bachelor of Science in Geology from California State University, Sacramento.  She has been the instructional aide in 5th grade at SJND for eight years.

Stephanie Shebert

Bachelor of Arts in English, minor in Education from UC Davis.  Single Subject - English and Multi-Subject Teaching Credentials from CSU Sacramento. Cross-cultural Language and Academic Development and English as a Second Language- Certificates. 29 years teaching experience, with 14 years in the Catholic schools.

Bachelor of Arts in Linguistics & Liberal Arts, University of Zagreb, Croatia.  Bachelor of Arts in Information Systems Management, CSU, Sacramento.  Multiple Subject Teaching Credential from National University. Masters of Education from National University, Specializing in Teaching and Learning in a Global Society

Luly Smith

Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from University of Mayaguez, Puerto Rico and Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of Reno, Nevada.  She has been at SJND for 16 years.

Marquese Smith

Bachelors or Arts in Communication from CSU Sacramento. Also played Football on a full ride scholarship all 4 years at CSU Sacramento. 7 years coaching and teaching in both public and Catholic schools. Coach Football, Basketball and Soccer at the elementary and high school level. 

Sue Styren

Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies (emphasis on History, Sociology, and Psychology) from the UC at Santa Barbara, K-12 Multiple Subject Teaching Credential and Masters of Educational Leadership from California Lutheran University. Online and Blended Learning Teacher Certification, SCOE; teaching elementary school since 1998, at SJND since 2003.

Joe Terranova

Bachelor in Biology from Saint Joseph's University and Masters in Education from Notre Dame through the Alliance for Catholic Education (ACE).  Summer research experience with the chemical engineering department at Notre Dame and certified Wilderness EMT through NOLS. He has 8 years teaching experience.

Ann Vandenberg

Basic Catechist Certification, Boston College; Bachelor of Arts degree in French Studies from U.C. Berkeley. Multiple Subject Life Credential from the University of the Pacific. Single Subject Credentials in French, Humanities, and Cultural Studies from the University of the Pacific. She has been at SJND for 30 years.

Secretary for five years, and has worked for SJND since 2008.
