One of the primary objectives of Catholic education is to develop Christian leadership. Through their participation on the Student Council, students learn responsibility, share school spirit, and develop leadership skills. The student government program also provides service to the school, church, and community. Student Council is comprised of elected members from 6th through 8th grade and class representatives from 5th through 8th grades.
Mental Math Bowl
Chosen students from grades 1-5 study for the mental math bowl competition held each spring. Students, coached by SJND teachers, do multi- step math calculations in their mind competing against other schools and the clock.
CJSF is a self-sufficient service organization of 7th & 8th grade SJND honor students. Students apply with each report card.
California Junior Scholarship Federation’s motto is Scholarship for Service. Our chapter’s motto is Saving the World… One Root Beer Float at a Time.
We conduct several fundraisers to pay our annual dues and all costs associated with our service projects. There are no dues. Members are required to participate in service projects.
